What is our Cardiac CPD day?
Our cardiac CPD is an 8-hour long CPD session focusing on the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, ECG placement, recognition and interpretation.
What does our Cardiac CPD day cover?
On this interactive CPD day we will cover:
Dissection of a pig heart (1 heart per learner)
The gross anatomy of the heart
Live tissue surgical airway and tension pneumothorax demonstration
The electrophysiology of the heart in health and during many illnesses/disease pathways
Updated guidance on ECG placement
3 lead ECG recognition
12 lead ECG recognition and interpretation
Who is our Cardiac CPD day for?
This CPD day is open to any HCPs and pre-hospital care staff qualified FREC 4 (or equivalent) and above. Candidates qualified to FREC 3 with significant pre-hospital emergency care experience may be considered on a case by case basis.
How do we certify our Cardiac CPD course?
Upon successful completion, you will be awarded a CPD Certificate in Cardiac Anatomy and Physiology (8-hours).
